Apple appears to now be offering the iPhone 3.0 Software Update free to iPod touch users running the iPhone 2.0 Software Update. Pocket Gamer’s Tracy Erickson notes that an older iPod touch updated without the request for a fee. Apple had charged customers £5.99 at launch last year, and then £2.99.
